Job Title: Commissioning Manager Adult Care Homes (Age Well) Contract Length: 4-month initial interim contract Location: West Midlands Local Authority. Hybrid working. Pay rate: £425 per day. Full time. IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Baltimore are working with an established local authority client in the West Midlands in their search for an established senior commissioner to support the Age Well agenda, as they look to re-commission their Care Home services. Your duties as a Commissioning Manager: Working to the Head of Service, you will take lead on all aspects of re-commisisoning activity of the councils adult Care Home Services. This will included building and developing relationships with the local and regional care market, assessing local opportunities and understand local demand. Develop engagement plans to go out to market to providers, planning accordingly to market changes and challenges. Additional this role will provide an exciting opportunity to work with the councils procurement and legal teams, as the commissioning department also look to develop approaches to Day Opportunities for members of population. Experience needed as a Commissioning Manager: Previous experience of adult social care experience within a local authority setting. Past experience on leading on tenders for care homes and other social care tenders. Excellent communication skills as this role would require significant engagement with other local authorities, providers and leaders; as well as regular check-in’s with senior managers.
