Are you ready to step into a pivotal leadership role where your impact will directly shape outcomes for children and young people? As Head of Quality Assurance & Performance, you will sit at the heart of Children’s Services, driving excellence across quality, practice and performance. Reporting into senior leadership, you will influence strategy, lead transformation and ensure services consistently meet the highest safeguarding standards. This role offers you the opportunity to lead large-scale improvements, oversee critical frameworks and play a key part in inspection readiness and delivery. Your Role:
- Lead strategic direction across Reviewing Services, Quality Assurance, Performance and Practice Development
- Drive a high-performing culture focused on safeguarding excellence and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement robust QA frameworks, audits, inspections and service reviews
- Act as a specialist advisor, influencing stakeholders including regulators and senior leaders
- Oversee inspection readiness, performance reporting and complex decision-making
Your Previous Experience:
- Extensive senior leadership experience within Children’s Social Care
- Proven ability to deliver strategic transformation and complex service improvement programmes
- Strong background in quality assurance systems, audits and performance frameworks
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
- Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration and leadership experience
As Head of Quality Assurance & Performance, you will also manage budgets, lead partnership engagement and ensure compliance with statutory requirements – all while championing the voice of the child at the centre of service delivery.
