You will drive continuous improvement aligned with CQC standards and support the development of best practice through the Principal Social Worker function. About your role as an Assistant Director of Adult Social Care Lead and embed a robust quality assurance framework across adult social care services to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. Provide strategic oversight of improvement programmes across adult social care Ensure services meet all statutory and legal obligations under the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other relevant legislation. Champion CQC readiness and improvement, ensuring services are inspection-ready and aligned with regulatory expectations. Act as the Principal Social Worker, promoting professional standards, practice development, and workforce capability. Lead service improvement planning and transformation initiatives, ensuring co-production and stakeholder engagement. Provide line management and strategic direction to Heads of Service and Service Managers, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. About you as an Assistant Director of Adult Social Care Proven experience at Assistant Director level or equivalent within adult social care. Strong understanding of safeguarding frameworks, CQC inspection criteria, and quality assurance methodologies. In-depth knowledge of adult social care legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Human Rights Act. Demonstrated ability to lead complex organisational change and service transformation. Experience in promoting professional practice and standards through a Principal Social Worker lens. Skilled in balancing strategic leadership with operational delivery in a dynamic environment.
