A forward-thinking London local authority is seeking an experienced Asset Systems and Data Manager to lead the configuration, governance, and strategic use of asset systems and property data across its operational estate.
This is a key interim role that will oversee the development of robust systems and data management frameworks to support effective asset planning, capital investment, and statutory compliance. The Asset Systems and Data Manager will work closely with property, compliance, and finance teams to ensure asset information is accurate, secure, and strategically aligned.
Key responsibilities of the Asset Systems and Data Manager:
Lead on the management, configuration and improvement of asset management systems
Ensure data integrity, security and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR)
Provide high-quality analytical outputs and dashboards to support asset strategy and investment decisions
Act as the primary point of contact for all asset system users, delivering training, support, and process documentation
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure property data informs project delivery, budgeting and long-term planning
Manage supplier contracts and oversee the implementation of new modules or enhancements within the systemThe successful Asset Systems and Data Manager will have:
Significant experience managing property or asset data systems (e.g. Concerto, Planon, QFM)
Strong knowledge of data governance, integration, and reporting in a local authority or housing context
Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Business Objects
Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and training delivery skills
