We are looking for a Data Analyst Apprentice to join our growing team, offering a £17,000-£19,000 salary and the flexibility of a fully remote role. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience while earning a Level 4 Data Apprenticeship, setting the foundation for a thriving career in analytics.
As an apprentice you will be reviewing data and looking for issues, producing performance dashboards and reports to support data visualisation, pulling website analytics on user behaviours, website performance, page loads and conversions and much more. In this role you will be exposed to all elements of Data Analysis. You will also be in regular contact with clients, providing updates, managing tasks, and ensuring smooth communication. You’ll be closely supported by the founder of the business as well as a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships, who will provide you with industry expert knowledge throughout your journey as an apprentice. In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 4 Junior Data Analyst delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day In The Job
- Project management and client communication: Chasing updates and agreeing deadlines with third-party suppliers. Providing clear and timely updates to clients on project progress, including highlighting blockers and proposed solutions. Updating Trello cards for project management and reporting. Messaging clients and suppliers on Slack for updates and client communications.
- Data analysis and tracking: Testing tracking using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Documenting user journeys and creating Trello cards for tracking and resolving new tasks. Reviewing data for accuracy, identifying missing or inconsistent information, and interrogating results.
- Reporting and dashboards: Producing performance dashboards and reports to support data visualisation for stakeholders. Creating reports in Excel and PowerPoint presentations where required. Using Looker Studio and BigQuery for KPI analysis and dashboard building. Extracting and analysing data with SQL, BigQuery, GA4, and Looker Studio. Pulling website analytics on user behaviours, website performance, page loads and conversions.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits
- £17,000‑£19,000 per annum.
- Monday to Friday 9am‑5pm.
- 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
- Work laptop provided with an additional screen and mobile phone.
- This role is fully working from home with occasional meet-ups in the North West, such as Liverpool, Chester and Manchester.
- Eligible for company profit share after 3 months.
- Eligible to join workplace pension scheme after 3 months.
Desired Qualities, Skills And Knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) essential for client-facing role.
- Happy to work independently.
- Focused, driven and a good attention to detail.
- Good English and be happy having direct communication with clients.
- Ability to use your own initiative and self-motivation due to the role being fully working from home.
- Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English.
- You must hold a valid UK or EU passport to allow travel to meet clients in the EU.
- On occasion, this may involve working outside normal office hours.
