As part of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will receive structured training delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships, including two-day training blocks every 4-6 weeks, alongside hands-on experience in the workplace. This combination of practical experience and expert training will help develop the technical knowledge and professional skills needed for a successful IT career. In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day In The Job
- Provide 1st line IT support (and occasional 2nd line support) to internal and external users.
- Respond to and manage support requests using the Halo ITSM ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Work alongside a senior engineer to deliver managed IT infrastructure services.
- Assist with IT projects and technical support activities.
- Support clients with device setup and maintenance (e.g. laptop builds and wipes).
- Assist with school-based IT support tasks such as classroom device management.
- Work with different teams to support technical solutions and client proposals.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and process guides.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
