Pallet Truck Operator.

Baltic Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading international plastic injection moulding business that supplies world-class products to global customers.

This is a genuine temp-to-perm position, with an increase in pay rate after successful probation.

Transport is provided from various pick-up points in Scarborough.

Pay rates: £12.75 increasing to £13.26 after 12 weeks, with overtime paid at £17.75 – £18.56.

Experience in a production/warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Job type: Temporary to permanent (temp to perm).

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately operate manual or electric pallet truck to move and transport goods within a shop floor environment.
  • Load and unload materials correctly and support the production team.
  • Understand work instructions and maintain quality levels.
  • Use handheld scanners and other devices.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures within the workplace.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quality checking, labeling, and packing experience.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and adherence to Health and Safety.
  • Reliable, with a positive attitude to work; good English skills (written and verbal).
  • Teamwork orientation.
  • Candidates must be able to work all 3 shifts on rotation: Days (Wednesday to Friday 7:50am – 8:00pm, 2 rest days), Nights (Monday to Wednesday 7:50pm – 8:00am, 4 rest days), Split Shift (as specified).
