Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent Production Operative for a client located in Newton Aycliffe. Reporting into the Section Leader and Production Manager. Training can take upwards of 2 years to learn one production line, so candidates must be willing to work for our client on a long-term basis - it can take 10 years to learn a variety of lines.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To manufacture weather seals in a safe manner.
- Replacement of raw materials to ensure continuous production.
- Quality control checks on profiles.
- To work in the section in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Targets (OEE, Scrap, OTIF, Quality Standards, Throughput and Productivity).
- Work as part of the team on agreed objectives with Section Leader and Production Manager.
- Actively promote 'Best and Safe Practice' in all areas.
- Support Section Leader in achieving through objectives.
- Ensure informative handover is effectively communicated to succeeding operator, any points of note written, signed and dated; in handover book.
- 5s Projects.
- Maintain high standard of housekeeping.
