Overall Purpose:
The main impact of the role will be in the performance of conversion shop floor activities, this will be carried out by the implementation of lean management techniques to smooth the process flow and ensure day to day activities are carried out in the most efficient method.
Leading the production teams to promote a continuous improvement ethos, encompassing waste reduction, high quality standards, good attendance and being customer focused.
Implementing projects from start to finish using work groups to push six sigma activities for each process, championing their areas of responsibility.The Role:
As a Conversion Shift Manager, you\’ll take ownership of shop floor performance, leading production teams to deliver against key targets across safety, quality, service, cost, and reliability. You\’ll use lean management techniques to streamline processes, reduce waste, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a double day shift rotation role (phone number removed) / 14.00-22.00), giving you the opportunity to lead across different teams and times of the day, ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout.
Working closely with colleagues across planning, procurement, and technical functions, you\’ll ensure operational excellence and champion initiatives that support the long-term plant development.
What You\’ll Do
Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve outstanding results.
Drive lean processes, waste reduction, and continuous improvement projects.
Ensure safe working practices, compliance, and positive team culture.
Deliver on-time, in-full customer orders while maintaining high quality standards.
Optimise production planning and resource management to minimise downtime.
Work with OEM partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to improve reliability and efficiency.
Manage performance reviews, training, and succession planning for your teams.Key Requirements:
At least 2 years\’ management experience in a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and motivational skills with a proven track record of team development.
A sound understanding of lean principles and experience delivering continuous improvement projects.
Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to make clear, effective decisions.
IOSH certification or equivalent.
A management qualification would be an advantage.The Package:
£45,000 per annum.
Double day shift role with potential to go to 3 shift during busy periods.
Up to 6% employer pension contributions.

25 days holiday + bank holidays.
