Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an established, market leading manufacturing business with their search for a Production Planner.

Overall Purpose: The purpose of this role is to provide a service to the operation by developing and managing the production plan across all workflows. It involves working to ensure the smooth flow of materials and managing suppliers, internal stakeholders and internal customers to ensure material availability, machine availability and resource planning across the plant.

Key Duties:

  • Control and monitor daily work activity via an MRP system.
  • Create and publish a [SMART] production plan to drive on time delivery.
  • Track deviations from the plan and employ principles in lean manufacturing and data analysis to support in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and manage stock levels.
  • Generate stock and made to order jobs for planning into production.
  • Create Methods of Manufacture (MOMs) and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Assist in technical and manufacturing working instruction breakdowns, including drawings, manufacture paperwork, customer communications and supplier management where required.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement in both material planning and inventory management.
  • Engage with supply chain/ procurement to ensure suppliers are provided accurate requirements.
  • Review daily outputs to ensure timely conversion to on time delivery in line with the production plan.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working in a production environment in a similar role.
  • Desirability for material resource management.
  • Demonstration of stock and quality control.
  • Track record in results driven outputs.
  • Competence in computer software and systems.

The Package: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on experience. Day shift role, working Monday-Friday. 25 days holiday + 8 bank. Company pension scheme. Health insurance. Bonus potential. Further training/development opportunities. Additional benefits.
