Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Duties:
- Work within the logistics and warehousing support teams on key projects, storage, control and management for the client production lines and internal fulfilment of the client product.
- Picking and Packing
- Dispatching
- Quality Inspection of parts and components
- Reworking and light assembly of parts
- Palletising crate assembly
- Booking items onto computerised stock control systems
- Palletising or decanting and loading of boxes and stillages
- Operating Forklift Trucks (licence not required as full training is provided, however would be beneficial)
Key Accountabilities specific to this role:
- Achieve targets and job standards as set out by Team Leader/Supervisor
- Use Warehouse Management Systems and other IT to process customer requirements
- Understand current task processes and relevant SLAs applied to regular services
- Assist with stock taking/remapping and other accuracy related tasks
- Operate best practice to support 5S and contribute to improvement activities
- Provide regular progress updates to assigned Team Leader/Supervisor
- Carry out tasks/functions as directed, following Standard Operating Procedures at all times
- Maintain efficient and effective time management and planning processes
- Ensure the company's Health and Safety policy is adhered to
Person Specification:
- Warehousing experience - picking & packing - operating Forklifts
- Experience of operating a Forklift Truck (in-house or otherwise) is an advantage but not essential
- Understand the importance of working as a team
- Be professional and possess a polite and positive attitude
- Strong organisation skills and ability to work flexibly and to deadlines
- Understand the importance of Health & Safety
Pay:
- Dayshift - £12.72/h
- Backshift - £14.40/ph
- Overtime throughout the week & a Saturday - £18.79
- Overtime on a Sunday - £25.06/ph
Shifts:
- Day shift - Monday to Friday (Times range from 06:45am - 15:33pm)
- Back shift - Monday to Friday (Time range from 16:20pm - 01:38am)
Hours of work: Standard guaranteed 39 hours working on a rotating shift system. You must be able to work both shifts.
