Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an established, industry leading manufacturing business in the Cramlington area with their search for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Overall Purpose: To provide electrical support to ensure that the manufacturing process, facilities and services are managed and maintained to a high standard.Key Duties: Perform routine and preventive maintenance of production equipment to ensure a reliable manufacturing process. Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and supporting equipment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, including but not limited to permits to work, pre-work risk assessment and method statements, LOTO, ATEX. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and apprentices. Provide engineering support to the production process when required in order to improve machine output and rectify processing issues. Work alongisde the on-site project department to develop new/improved electrical control systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, using a CMMS system.Key Requirements: Completed Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Proven experience in fault finding and troubleshooting on Mechanical Systems. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.The Package: Circa £55,000 per annum inclusive of shift allowance. Continental 24-7 shift pattern of days/nights, one week working 60 hrs(5 12 hour shifts, 2 days break in between), the next week only working only 24 hours(2 12 hour shifts) on rotation.
