Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an industry leading business in the Hartlepool area with their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
Key Duties:
- Reporting to the Maintenance manager you will be responsible for ensuring the plants are maintained to achieve the required plant runtime.
- Ensuring that all the planned weekly preventative maintenance shift for each site and plant is carried out to specification.
- Work varies on a day-to-day basis but includes fault finding, fault diagnosing, testing and repair of mechanical equipment, static and mobile plant.
- Plan and complete preventative maintenance for each site within agreed timeframes.
- Agree and maintain part stock of essentials parts as well as adhering to the department budget with the aid of order numbers and spend controls.
- Complete project and installation work to improve efficiency and safety of all sites.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and develop technical knowledge.
Key Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety.
- Minimum of apprentice trained or equivalent, City and guilds level 3, or NVQ level 3.
- Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance function.
- IOSH desirable.
- Experience of working in a technically challenging and value driven culture.
- Computer literate.
The Package:
- Starting salary of £48,000 per annum which will increase up to £53,000 per annum over time.
- Continental shift pattern: working 2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights.
- 36hrs week 1, 48 hrs week 2 on rotation.
- Company van and fuel card provided which can be used for work.
- Company pension scheme.
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
