Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading Industrial Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company based in Harlow, they have been going strong for over 100 years and are looking for a Site Mechanical Engineer to join our client.

The role will involve service, maintenance and repair tasks on pumps and other mechanical equipment such as numerous types of pumps, motors, fans, and rotating equipment within the local (up to 50 miles) area.

  • Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on pumps and other rotating/mechanical equipment
  • Work on equipment including pumps, motors, fans, and associated systems
  • Replace bearings, mechanical seals, and complete pump units where required
  • Service pumping stations, including sewage pumping systems and associated equipment
  • Lift and remove pumps safely for inspection and maintenance
  • Clear debris/blockages from pumping equipment and stations
  • Inspect and test float switches, control gear, and related components
  • Diagnose faults on pumps, motors, inverters, and electrical systems
  • Work directly with customer representatives on-site and provide professional service
  • Operate within local travel areas (up to 50 miles)
  • Participate in overtime and call-out work when required

Key Requirement

  • Experience servicing and repairing pumps and rotating mechanical equipment
  • Knowledge of: Pumps, Motors, Fans, Inverters, Electrical systems, Electrical panels and controls
  • Experience working on customer sites and liaising directly with clients
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work overtime and participate in call-out rota
  • Strong problem-solving and practical engineering skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage local travel

The Package:
