Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting Waste Knot Energy, an alternative fuel provider for heavy and energy-intensive industries such as cement and steel with their search for an Electrical Engineer. Overall Purpose: The Electrical Engineer will design, develop and maintain electrical systems for our site, always ensuring a pragmatic and professional approach to tasks. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for all electrical aspects of the site. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of the site, building your team, and meeting production targets while maintaining a strong health and safety culture through our established safety systems.
Key Duties:
- Analyse test data to ensure our manufacturing process meets industry standards.
- Perform feasibility studies for new WKE projects, calculating project costs and delivery timelines.
- Oversee maintenance, inspection and system upgrade programmes.
- Maintain electrical systems and components including creating test procedures and maintenance schedules and preparing documentation such as user manuals and system specifications.
- Design and enhance electrical systems that adhere to engineering codes and company requirements.
- Draw up project plans and technical diagrams, using engineering design software.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components.
- Co-ordinate the work of technicians and shift workers.
- Keep up to date with safety requirements and other legislation.
Key Requirements:
- Time served apprenticeship with at least 3 years post apprentice experience.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering OR HNC/City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering.
- An understanding and experience working with PLC/SCADA systems ideally.
The Package:
- £43,250 per annum.
- Day shift role, working Monday-Friday.
- Further training & career development.
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
