Baltic Recruitment is recruiting for a Temp to Perm Warehouse FLT Operative for a client in Basingstoke. This warehouse‑based position involves loading and unloading vehicles, picking and processing daily inbound and outbound orders for delivery across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will be trained using the in‑house Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparation of daily inbound and outbound orders.
- End of day cycle counting and stock control.
- Working as part of an established team.
- Ensuring proper receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods to customers, vendors and other sites.
- Ensuring that all goods during receipt, storage and dispatch are adequately packed to avoid any damage.
- Assisting and checking the work of colleagues within assigned area.
- Providing assistance and support to management, warehouse controller and colleagues as required.
- Processing and maintaining all paperwork of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensuring all work is completed on time and follows quality requirements and procedures.
- Maintaining safe working environment by identifying and correcting safety hazards.
- Departmental housekeeping.
Applicants
- Must have an accredited and in‑date Counterbalance FLT License (Articulated Pivot Steer License is an advantage).
- Must have previous Counterbalance FLT experience.
- Have at least 1 to 2 years of warehouse experience and knowledge of packaging standards and requirements.
- Basic knowledge of administrative and logistics systems.
- Good knowledge of Mechanical Handling Equipment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including daily use of MS Office and warehouse management systems.
- To be eager to learn, grow and progress.
- Ability to work independently, cooperatively with others, and as a team‑player.
- Self‑driven, positive, flexible, and focused on high‑quality customer service.
Company Benefits

Salary and Working Hours
Salary is circa £25,500 to £26,341, working Monday to Friday 9:00‑5:30 (37.5 hours per week). Overtime may be required.
