As an IT Apprentice, you'll be part of a friendly, supportive team where no two days are the same. You will be solving problems, learning from experts, and gaining hands-on experience that sets you up for a future-proof career.

In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Print queue administration and user access.
  • New equipment ordering and installation.
  • Phone Systems administration and support.
  • Management of ICT Storage room and consumables inventory levels.
  • Escalation to 3rd party support and ensuring the request is resolved within agreed service levels.
  • Creation of any documentation required to support the ICT change control process and internal procedures.
  • Ensuring that all areas of the ICT department are presented in a professional and organised manner.
  • Operate within a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible manner at all times.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Capable of clear and accurate communication, both written and verbal.
  • Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics & Grade 5 in GCSE English.
  • Demonstrates a sense of commitment to openness, honesty, loyalty and high standards in undertaking the role.
  • Demonstrating commitment to working and engaging constructively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to deal with problems in appropriate time frames.
  • General PC Support: Windows 11 OS, Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Confident addressing problems and opportunities, challenging activities to improve performance, demonstrate willingness to challenge accepted methods and standards.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £16,500 per annum.
  • 8:30am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm finish on Fridays.
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we'll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships:

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. You'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT. You'll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
