Oadby Plastics is seeking a motivated IT Apprentice to join our team. This role is a vital opportunity to develop technical skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment while supporting our core business operations.
This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive training experience focused on providing essential IT support and maintaining robust systems across the group. The successful candidate will contribute to a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment by adhering to all QHSE policies and procedures.
In this role, youll work towards yourLevel 3 Information Communications Technician,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide comprehensive 1st line IT support and actively resolve technical issues while fostering strong customer relationships.
- Manage and maintain IT hardware and software, including configuring new laptops/computers and ensuring all systems are up to date.
- Provide support for the ERP system and manage all printers throughout the group.
- Maintain accurate audit and asset tag records.
- Create and update IT user guides and ensure a clean and safe IT working environment.
- Stay current with security practices and technology trends, implementing measures to mitigate cyber threats.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and QHSE guidelines, acting consistently with Oadbys core Vision, Mission, and Values.
- Effectively manage time, prioritise tasks, and undertake other reasonable responsibilities as requested.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours&Benefits:
- Salary: £16,000-£19,000 per annum
- Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours.
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm.
