They are now looking for a passionate and dedicated IT enthusiast to join their growing team as an IT Apprentice. This apprenticeship is the perfect stepping stone into a successful IT career, providing hands-on experience and mentorship to help you develop into a skilled IT professional. As part of this role, you will work towards an IT Support Technician qualification, delivered by expert trainers at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Provide 1st line IT support, troubleshooting technical issues, managing and resetting passwords, and assisting with hardware and software installations.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, remote access, and a ticketing system.
  • Assist with server and data backups to ensure secure storage and recovery.
  • Configure hardware and software using SCCM and Solus for remote devices such as PCs.
  • Use Wireshark to monitor network performance, diagnose IP address conflicts, and detect network flooding.
  • Use Event Viewer to monitor system and application logs for troubleshooting.
  • Utilise Task Manager to monitor system performance and resolve Windows-related issues.
  • Assist in installing front-of-class equipment, telephone systems, and network devices at client sites.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary: £14,722.50 per year
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
  • Holidays: 21 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, plus your birthday off
  • City Centre Parking
  • Monthly social events (last Friday of the month drinks)

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Passion for IT, problem-solving, and staying up to date with technology advancements.

Required Grades: Maths 4/C, English 5/C.

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. You'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll accelerate your skills and get the qualifications and confidence you need to thrive in IT. You'll be based full-time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
