Start your career in IT with Cambridge Support! Cambridge Support are a multi-award-winning IT support company which includes a team of qualified IT professionals with a range of experience to provide you with unlimited support on the start of your journey.

They are looking for an apprentice who is eager and ready to learn to be part of their growing team. With Cambridge Support, they will encourage you to bring fresh ideas and become a valuable member. You will receive training from Baltic Apprenticeships where classes will be via online every 4-6 weeks over a 2 day period. We will make sure you are supported each step of the way to ensure you are receiving all the knowledge and skills you need to grow into the world of IT.

In this role, you will work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Security processes such as password resets, MSA resets/enrolments, data encryption, internal security processes etc.
  • Support with SLA's on the ticketing system.
  • Document tasks and track escalations through the ticketing system.
  • Provide support over the phone, email, tickets and occasional F2F site visits.
  • Use a range of troubleshooting tools like ninja for remote access, Microsoft lighthouse, Wireshark, command prompt and Cisco Meraki.
  • Install and configure hardware such as adding additional RAM, changing SSD's, working with routers etc.
  • Conduct software updates like service packs, security patches and driver updates.
  • Building machines and laptops for customers.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Has a genuine passion for IT.
  • Eager to learn.
  • Demonstrates good organisational skills.
  • Shows enthusiasm within the role.
  • Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £15,000- £17,000 per annum.
  • 9am-5:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holiday.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we will support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. You will get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you will accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT. You will be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
