Role Overview

The People Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the consistent delivery of people processes across the business. Acting as a key member of the People Team, you'll partner with a designated group of managers to maintain high people standards, create great employee experiences and ensure our people processes are delivered consistently across the business. This is a hands-on People Operations role combining employee lifecycle management, recruitment support, people reporting, manager accountability and employee engagement. You'll take ownership of key people processes, conduct regular reviews and audits, and work closely with managers to ensure our people practices are delivered effectively and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Operations
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, including BambooHR.
    • Partner with a designated group of managers, supporting the employee lifecycle within their departments.
    • Conduct regular reviews across key people processes, including 1:1 completion, return-to-work meetings, growth plans, onboarding reviews, performance documentation, organisational structure and role clarity reviews.
    • Monitor completion of key people processes and identify areas requiring support.
    • Track actions, identify gaps and proactively follow up with managers to ensure completion.
    • Ensure managers are consistently following company policies, procedures and expected people practices.
    • Support the administration and coordination of people processes across the employee lifecycle.
    • Maintain accurate employee records, reporting and documentation.
  • Manager Accountability & People Standards
    • Produce regular people metrics and management reports.
    • Monitor manager accountability against key people processes and standards.
    • Work alongside managers to improve consistency across people practices.
    • Provide constructive challenge where expected people standards are not being met.
    • Support managers to create high performing, engaged teams.
    • Escalate recurring people practice concerns to the Director of People Growth & Culture where appropriate.
    • Support actions arising from people audits, reviews and improvement initiatives.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Draft and post job adverts across multiple platforms.
    • Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, universities and other recruitment channels.
    • Screen applications and coordinate interviews.
    • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
    • Deliver an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
    • Coordinate onboarding administration and support new starters through their onboarding experience.
  • Employee Relations & Manager Support
    • Act as a first point of contact for people related queries within designated business areas.
    • Support managers with day to day people matters and HR administration.
    • Maintain accurate records relating to absence, performance and employee relations matters.
    • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing documentation and tracking action plans.
    • Escalate complex employee relations matters where appropriate.
  • People Reporting & Continuous Improvement
    • Produce and analyse people metrics, including absence, retention, onboarding, engagement, performance and people process completion rates.
    • Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve people processes and employee experience.
    • Support the preparation of monthly People Team reporting packs.
    • Assist with policy reviews and process improvements.
    • Identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency and employee experience across people processes.
  • Culture, Brand & Employee Engagement
    • Support People Team initiatives relating to wellbeing, equality, diversity & inclusion, learning & development, and employee engagement.
    • Support initiatives that reinforce company values and encourage positive behaviours.
    • Contribute to strengthening and promoting the Baltic employer brand internally.
    • Assist with company events, engagement activities and internal campaigns.
    • Support projects designed to improve employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or 1 - 2 years' experience within an HR Administration, HR Coordination or People Operations role.
  • A genuine passion for people operations and delivering a positive employee experience.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and hold stakeholders accountable where required.
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and ways of working.
  • An interest in employee relations, engagement, wellbeing and organisational development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using HR systems and technology.
