Step foot into the world of IT with Amshire Solutions! Amshire Solutions is looking for a determined, eager and ready to learn candidate who is looking to gain skills within IT. You will be working alongside a supportive and collaborative team who will help you along your journey and encourage an open environment where you can share fresh ideas. This apprenticeship will give you the chance to build your technical skills, gain experience, and earn while you learn.
You will be getting involved in assisting with security tasks, updating client software and assisting in problem-solving. There are also great benefits to enjoy, such as 24 days of annual leave and your birthday off. In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Assist with security tasks such as password resets, group policies, multi-factor authentication, and anti-virus management.
- Use knowledge base articles and work with peers to carry out technical tasks, resolving first-line issues and collaborating with senior staff on more complex problems to gain practical experience.
- Document tasks and escalations using a ticketing system, and provide support to internal and external users via phone, email, and ticketing.
- Work with hardware by building and setting up new machines, installing printers, and eventually supporting network devices like routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Install, configure, and update client software and operating systems, manage patches and drivers, and understand network setups for both wired and wireless connections.
- Use PowerShell to automate tasks and assist in problem-solving.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

- £17,000 - £21,000 per annum.
- 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we'll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. You'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT. You'll be based full-time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
