The Compliance Auditor reports to the Registered Branch Manager and is responsible for assisting the branch in reaching their quality compliance standards for both employee and service users, supporting with Level C medication weekly audits and completing Birdie Audits as required and directed by the Registered Branch Manager. The Compliance Auditor will support and offer guidance around medication errors and support via medication competency assessments. The post holder will be required to work within the Dumfries branch covering Dumfries and Galloway services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with the Registered Manager to support the branch in meeting the Company’s and Dumfries and Galloway’s quality requirements in relation to level C medication.
- Undertaking internal audits to ensure service users are supported with their medication by staff who are well trained and understand the contractual compliance requirements.
- Completing report(s) based on the results of the medication and staff competency audits.
- Responsible for ensuring service user medication is ordered/collected and counted as required in line with their individual care plans.
- Auditing internal paperwork for accuracy, such as MAR charts, Communication logs, Birdie concerns, and comments.
- Assisting the branch with external audit requirements, as delegated by the manager.
- Ensuring that all audit records and documents are accurate and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Assisting with community-based monitoring activities e.g. care reviews, supervisions, care worker assessments, spot checks etc.
- Performing any other related duties as required.

- Have or be willing to work toward SVQ level 3 and PDA Supervision.
- Be registered or willing to register with the SSSC as a Supervisor and ensure annual declaration requirements are met.
