Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Manage the GRP (Glass Reinforced Polymer) Hot Press Operation, ensuring a minimum daily target of 90 units per shift (subject to demand).
- Manual Handling: Products range from 10kg to 28kg for loading/unloading.
- Quality Focus: Ensure a high level of quality and productivity is maintained throughout.
- Conduct pre-start checks and perform dimensional checks and visual inspections of the first items produced.
- Follow detailed production steps: cut and load wet GRP SMC material into the hot press; safely operate the automated hot press for GRP panel pressing; unload finished dry GRP panels; trim components to remove excess materials.
- Conduct a 100% visual inspection to maintain exceptional quality standards.
- Accurately label and mark finished panels, ensuring correct documentation and palletization.
- Move materials using appropriate equipment such as pump trucks and powered pallet trucks.
Additional Duties (Training Provided)
- Bonding and insulating GRP panels.
- Drilling panels according to manufacturing specifications.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with the team to meet tight production deadlines and targets.
- Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety regulations.
- Complete production records and paperwork in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
- Support stores, picking, packing, and despatch operations when required.
