As a result of significant investment in people and plant, the company produces what is believed to be the most comprehensive range of tank products available for a single source in the EU. We are currently recruiting a Fabricator / Welder to join our Operations team at Balmoral Tanks Ltd. This role is responsible for the efficient fabrication of steelwork assemblies, supporting the production of high-quality tank components while maintaining strong safety, quality, and productivity standards.
About The Role
You will work with mild steel and stainless steel components, interpreting technical drawings and carrying out MIG and TIG welding in a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a safe working environment in line with company policies & procedures.
- Maintain records of personal development and training.
- Accurately read technical drawings provided by the design team.
- Undertake any welding work required to ensure the correct and safe production of tank components.
- Maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Fabricate items in mild steel and stainless steel including marking out, setting up and welding.
- MiG/TIG welding.
- Keep scrap to a minimum.
- Wear all PPE at all times when carrying out work and when around the factory.
- Display HSE on site at all times to the required Balmoral standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds or N/SVQ Level 3.
- Good general standard of education.
- Must be trained in all aspects of steel fabrication.
- Formal coding’s.
- Desirable: Previous safety training, EN1090 accreditation.
Skills & Attributes
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be an innovative thinker and commercially aware.
- Welding, flame cutting, grinding/polishing.
- Quality focused.
- Safety training is desirable.
