The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the yard. You will be conscientious, reliable and punctual, flexible with regards to working hours and capable of working with minimum supervision. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. Due to safety requirements applicants must be at least aged 18 or over.
Main Duties:
- Emptying of skips
- Keeping surrounding area particularly at skips tidy
- Removal of waste from Production area to waste storage area
- Removing unsightly litter from yard and car parking areas
- Operating a Forklift
- Operation of JCB Digger
Experience Preferred:
- Previous labouring / yard experience
- Forklift truck experience
- Previous use of JCB Digger or similar industrial vehicle
- Previous experience working with industrial waste
- Understanding/training in COSHH
Skills/Training Preferred:
- Forklift licence
