Balmoral Comtec, a division of Balmoral Group, provides surface and subsurface buoyancy, insulation and elastomer products and services to the global energy, defence, subsea communications and oceanographic industries. We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Administrator within the Engineering Department in Aberdeen.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB'S FUNCTION

  • Provide general administration support to the Supply Chain function.
  • Request suppliers to complete vendor assessment questionnaires and liaise with internal stakeholders for approval.
  • Register vendors onto Balmoral’s AVL system and manage renewals.
  • Help research global suppliers, obtaining NDAs and assisting with tenders.
  • Help development and management of the AVL Dashboard.
  • Create Supply Chain data spreadsheets as required.
  • Enter Supply Chain data into spreadsheets and maintain.
  • Help develop Supply Chain presentation slides monthly.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBHOLDER

  • Compile various Supply Chain Documents for approval such as VAQ’s, Procedures.
  • Report on supply chain development projects with updates, deliverables and projected costs and communicate to selected stakeholders.
  • Provide ad‑hoc support to purchasing teams and raise purchase orders with guidance from team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and suggest recommendations for process/procedure efficiencies.
  • Assist with writing supplier audit reports and ensure they are approved and appropriately filed.
  • Assist in expediting supplier NCR’s both externally and internally and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Ensure all supply chain activities preserve the company’s legal and commercial integrity and that company’s and client’s governance controls are adhered to.
  • Ensure all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with Company policies, processes and procedures.
  • Any admin tasks required by the supply chain team.

Experience

  • Administrator skills and experience.
  • Offer structured and detailed support to Supply Chain team.
  • Provide accurate updates and reporting to key internal stakeholders in support of administrative tasks.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within Supply Chain process/procedures.

Skills / Training Required:

  • Strong IT skills, especially Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience or understanding of Supply Chain Administration would be advantageous.
