The successful applicant must be highly motivated and able to work as part of a team. They will be responsible for matching incoming delivery paperwork with internal purchase orders and highlighting discrepancies in quantity, quality or certification and ensuring continuity of production through efficient ordering and issuing of materials.

Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. Due to shift and safety requirements applicants must be at least aged 18 or over.

Main Duties

  • Responsible for the accuracy of stock within the stores area. Provide detailed explanations of any variance.

  • Accurate receipt of incoming goods.

  • Maintain accurate stock receipt / issue records and report on any relevant minimum / maximum monthly movements.

  • To accurately monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure the efficient dispatch of completed jobs.

  • To pick job kits from BOM’s or Packing Lists for the assembly work on the following

  • Expedite stock orders before they are overdue.

  • To conduct regular stock checks on fast moving stock lines.

  • Conduct periodic stock checks.

  • To ensure the stores area is kept in an organised and safe manner.

Skills and experience

  • Computer literate

  • Previous stores/stock management experience

  • Conscientious, reliable, honest and punctual

  • Capable of working with minimum supervision

  • Flexible with regards to working hours

  • Forklift licence would be advantageous, but not essential
