Balmoral is looking for a Quality Inspector to play a vital role in ensuring our products meet exacting customer and regulatory standards.
About the Role
As Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying manufactured and procured products to ensure they fully comply with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Our products are often bespoke, designed to meet individual customer and site requirements, making attention to detail essential. You will work closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams, engineering, HSEQ colleagues, and customers to ensure products are inspected, tested, documented, and packed correctly before progressing to the next stage or leaving site. You will also contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of inspection and testing processes within the factory. This role plays a key part in supporting Balmoral’s commitment to Right First Time, On Time, In Full delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and company standards
- Inspect parts and products in line with approved documentation and specifications
- Ensure inspection and test results are accurately recorded, maintained, and easily auditable
- Use the non-conformance system to identify, control, and report defective or non-conforming parts
- Investigate root causes of quality issues and report findings to relevant departments
- Monitor and report trends in non-conformance, proposing corrective and preventive actions
- Review production quality records and elevate issues where standards are not met
- Review supplier quality documentation and work with vendors on quality performance
- Support customer and third-party inspections and audits
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Contribute to quality improvement projects and workshops
- Assist in training others in inspection methods where required
- Support the digitisation of production and quality records within manufacturing
