Balmoral Comtec, a division of, Freudenberg Flow Technologies, provides surface and subsurface buoyancy, insulation and elastomer products and services to the global energy, defence, subsea communications and oceanographic industries.

We are recruiting for a Senior Marketing Specialist in Aberdeen. Applications must be submitted by Friday 14 August 2026.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY AND FUNCTION

The Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting and executing strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen product positioning, increase brand visibility, support sales growth, and drive engagement across digital, content, events, internal communications, sales enablement channels and other group functions across our 14 worldwide locations.

This role partners with the Digital Marketing Manager, SBU leaders, Product Engineers, Sales, senior management, external agencies, and internal stakeholders across global locations to develop marketing campaigns, product announcements, social media content, website updates, brochures, presentations, newsletters, and sales support materials.

The Marketing Manager also supports trade shows, conferences, and events by coordinating stakeholders, vendors, schedules, booth logistics, mailing lists, and marketing-qualified leads within the CRM platform.

The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer, strong content creator, and skilled project manager who can translate technical products and engineering solutions into clear, compelling, and commercially effective marketing communications while maintaining brand consistency across all channels.

This includes understanding and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and integrating these considerations into daily work activities.

  • JOB DUTIES
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, value propositions, and go-to-market plans for new products in collaboration with SBU leaders, Product Engineers, Sales, SMEs, and cross-functional teams.
  • Execute marketing initiatives aligned with the overall marketing strategy, business priorities, campaign goals, and Freudenberg corporate brand standards.
  • Manage brand consistency across marketing materials, stationery, templates, presentations, sales collateral, digital assets, print materials, event graphics, and external-facing content.
  • Plan, create, write, edit, proof, and publish high-quality digital and print content, including website copy, news articles, brochures, sales sheets, presentations, videos, infographics, white papers, case studies, newsletters, internal announcements, and event materials.
  • Own website copywriting, content updates, SEO support, digital publishing, and regular maintenance of the company’s CMS, Hub Spot CRM, and Balmoral Comtec / FFL News page.
  • Develop and manage the editorial and content calendar, including creating, scheduling, publishing, and monitoring Linked In and other social media content to support timely, relevant, and engaging communication.
  • Manage content libraries, campaign assets, publishing schedules, the Digital Asset Management platform, and FFL Connect Share Point to ensure resources are accurate, current, organized, and accessible.
  • Support Sales and Executive teams with presentations, brochures, sales sheets, lead qualification resources, account-specific messaging, Hub Spot support, and other sales enablement materials.
  • Monitor the quality of marketing-qualified and sales-qualified contacts in Hub Spot CRM to support lead management, sales alignment, and funnel optimization.
  • Research industry trends, customer needs, competitor positioning, and relevant topics for engineering and technical audiences to inform content strategy, product messaging, and campaign planning.
  • Manage agencies, vendors, designers, printers, exhibit partners, and other marketing partners to ensure projects are prioritized, delivered on time, and executed effectively.
  • Plan, organize, and represent the company at tradeshows, conferences, and events, including vendor coordination, booth setup, tear down, event materials, and on-site support.
  • Support internal communications and community outreach initiatives, including quarterly newsletters, internal announcements, and Freudenberg e2 activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in B2B marketing, industrial marketing, engineering, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, or technical product environments.
  • Experience with CMS systems, Hub Spot, Share Point (MSFT Teams area development and maintenance), and Digital Asset Management platforms.
  • Experience supporting product launches for technical products or engineered solutions.
  • Experience developing case studies, white papers, brochures, sales presentations, email campaigns, and technical content.
  • Experience planning and managing tradeshows, industry events, and vendor relationships.
  • Graphic design, video editing, photography, or multimedia production experience is a plus.
  • Proficient using MSFT O365 applications: Forms, Power Point, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent, proactive communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to multi-task to work in a fast-paced work environment as a team player and consistently maintain a professional demeanor
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years prior digital marketing experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in Sales Enablement or Communications
  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas or Energy a plus but not required
  • Additional MSFT O365 application experience such as Sway, Stream, Power Automate
  • Experience creating and administering internal and customer surveys
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management platforms such as Air Table, Canto, Notion, Monday, Coda
