Our Golf & Turf Machinery Mechanics report directly to the Service Manager and are essential for providing excellent customer service by maintaining machinery. The role involves working both in our Burnley workshop and on-site, repairing, servicing, and maintaining machinery. Applicants should have experience diagnosing and repairing plant, trucks, motorcycles, farm machinery, forklift trucks, or ground-care machinery. Experience in green-keeping or groundsman industries, especially with golf & turf machinery, is highly desirable. The machinery includes golf and sports turf equipment, commercial mowers, utility vehicles, compact tractors, chippers, and domestic mowing machinery.
We offer starting salaries from £28,000 (dependent on experience), along with support, career development, and ongoing training.
Key Duties:- Perform diagnostics and repairs on golf and turf machinery.
- Service machinery as specified.
- Ensure work is completed to high standards both in the workshop and on-site.
- Undertake training to enhance skills and knowledge of new products and services.
- Complete pre-delivery setup and checks on new and used machinery.
- Mentor apprentices and trainees.
- Experience with plant, trucks, motorcycles, farm machinery, forklift trucks, or ground-care machinery preferred.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repairs using specialized tools following technical procedures.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends on a rotational basis.
- Full UK driving license required.
