From grain grown on our own farm to spirits crafted on-site, our field-to-bottle approach reflects our commitment to provenance, quality and craftsmanship.

As we continue to grow and prepare for the launch of our inaugural Single Malt Scotch Whisky in 2028, we are looking for an ambitious Commercial Lead to help shape the next chapter of our journey. Reporting directly to the Family Board of Directors and Advisory Board, this is a rare opportunity to lead the commercial strategy of an emerging premium spirits brand, with a clear pathway to becoming General Manager.

The Role

You will develop and deliver our commercial growth strategy, leading sales, marketing, exports, brand development, visitor experience and direct-to-consumer performance. Working closely with our distillery and production teams, you will build new markets, strengthen strategic partnerships and ensure Balmaud continues to grow while protecting its premium positioning.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years' senior commercial leadership experience
  • Proven success growing premium consumer brands, ideally within spirits and whisky, wine, luxury FMCG or hospitality
  • Strong UK and international sales and export experience
  • Commercial strategy, P&L and pricing expertise
  • Experience building distributor and key account relationships
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery
  • A passion for premium brands, Scottish heritage and building long‑term value
