Our Core Player Experience Web Team builds mobile first, responsive websites and tools that deliver engaging experiences for players around the world. Using React and modern web technologies, we create products designed to work seamlessly across devices. You will join a collaborative team of software and QA engineers, supported by Product Owners, Engineering Leads and Agile specialists who help you focus on building great software. If you are interested in mobile gaming, scalable platforms, microservices and APIs, you will help deliver high quality features and experiences for players globally. This role will be based in Manchester (3 days a week in office).
So, what will you be doing?
- Develop and deliver high-quality software features, taking ownership from conception to production.
- Collaborate closely with team members and other departments to contribute to the overall success of the product.
- Implement and deploy progressive technical practices, including continuous delivery, walking skeleton, and pipeline automation.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of architectural concepts and identify opportunities to leverage bleeding-edge technologies effectively.
And what will you need?
- Experience in web technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML (We write everything in TypeScript).
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.
- Familiarity with REST and RESTful practices, as well as messaging technologies.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, or Mocha.
- Experience with CI/CD.
- Proficient in Containerisation like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as alerting tools like Dynatrace, Splunk.
