Ballymore is a family‑owned business with over 40 years in establishment and over 80 awards. We manage 11,000 homes across 12 luxury residential developments in London and are looking for a Shift Engineer to join us at Pan Peninsula and Wardian.
What You'll Do
- Identify and diagnose faults and carry out remedials, adjustments and other maintenance works.
- Perform required routine servicing, repair or adjustment of plant or machinery as per the maintenance schedule.
- Adopt a flexible approach to other skills or contractors to ensure the most cost‑effective outcome.
- Carry out other skilled tasks in which competence has been demonstrated.
- Monitor plant and record data using supplied systems.
- Achieve the highest standard of plant and equipment efficiency by following set instructions.
- Maintain all service areas, plant rooms, storage cupboards and workspaces well and tidy.
- Comply with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures.
- Complete accident, first aid and incident paperwork correctly and submit to the Facilities Manager.
- Ensure risk assessments and SOPs are in place and updated.
- Review reporting procedures and provide to the Support Office.
- Ensure in‑house and external service providers comply with H&S frameworks.
- Have key involvement in disaster recovery, emergency response and contingency planning.
- Ensure records are held securely and in compliance with GDPR.
- Direct the on‑site team to maintain records and administration systems efficiently.
- Attend meetings with the Facilities Management team.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
- Good communication skills.
- Organisation skills.
- NVQ/C&G Level 3 in a trade (Electrical/Mechanical etc).
- Troubleshooting skills with mechanical breakdowns.
- Knowledge of HVAC, LTHW, BCWS and other onsite systems.
- ACOP L8 qualified.
- Experience with BMS monitoring and fault identifying.
- Critical spares and stock management.
- Methodology and problem‑solving skills.

- Hours: 7:00 – 19:00 / Days Shift Pattern: 4 on – 4 off
- Location: E14, Canary Wharf
- Salary per annum: £45,000
- Contract: 42 hpw / permanent
