We're recruiting a Fitness Coach at London City Island & Good Luck Hope, part of Ballymore’s development portfolio.
Key Details
- Location: E16, Canning Town
- Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Sunday, 5 days per week
- Salary: £12.21 per hour + commission
Responsibilities
- Promote leisure services to members and track their progress.
- Teach at least one class per shift; additional classes may be required.
- Provide personal training to residents/guests as needed.
- Answer residents and guests' questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and refer to appropriate persons.
- Serve as a customer‑service liaison between residents/guests and management, fully familiar with all services offered.
- Ensure compliance with legislation such as Health & Safety at Work Act, Fire Cautions, COSHH, etc.
- Complete procedural documentation (incident reports, maintenance requests, shift changes) in a timely manner.
- Stock storage units; clean and organise all fitness areas, equipment, studios, and any rooms/areas within the leisure facility.
- Monitor music and audio levels to avoid disruption of member workouts.
- Remain visible at all times to assist members and guests; notify HCM/Shift Manager before taking a break.
- Check and initial the communications log consistently and liaise with the HCM as needed.
- Attend all weekly departmental meetings and any other staff meetings, as arranged.
- Recognise opportunities and promote/sell PT, wellness, exercise classes, master classes, or any other services offered.
- Maintain a clean, neat, healthy, and professional appearance; correct uniform must be worn at all times.
