We're now recruiting for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join us at our development, The Brentford Project! The successful candidate must have a FULL UK Drivers License.

Hours: 8:00 - 17:00

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

Location: TW8, The Brentford Project

Salary per annum: £35,000

Contract: 40 hpw/permanent

Role Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness, presentation, and housekeeping across the estate and residential buildings at The Brentford Project. The successful candidate will lead and support the housekeeping team, ensuring all communal areas are maintained to an exceptional standard while promoting a positive, proactive, and resident-focused culture throughout the estate. This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and manage staff within a fast-paced residential environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all communal areas, residential blocks, welfare areas, and estate facilities are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all times.
  • Undertake cleaning duties where required whilst supervising and supporting the wider housekeeping team.
  • Supervise a team consisting of:
    • 3 full-time cleaners
    • 1 part-time cleaner
    • 2 yard operatives
  • Support the ongoing growth and operational requirements of Phase 2 as the development expands during 2027/2028.
  • Ensure cleaning operations are effectively maintained across a 7-day estate operation.
  • Carry out regular inspections of all assigned areas and take corrective action where standards fall below expectations.
  • Ensure all cleaning works are completed in accordance with site specifications, schedules, and management instructions.
  • Ensure cleaning cupboards, stores, and back-of-house areas remain organised, safe, and compliant.

Staff Supervision & Administration

  • Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure duties are completed efficiently and professionally.
  • Monitor and record staff attendance, punctuality, sickness, annual leave, and appointments.
  • Ensure accurate completion of timesheets, cleaning logs, and operational records.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and housekeeping documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new housekeeping staff where required.
  • Promote high standards of professionalism, appearance, conduct, and teamwork at all times.
  • Ensure staff uniforms are worn correctly and consistently maintained.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures, COSHH regulations, and safe systems of work are followed at all times.
  • Ensure appropriate signage is displayed when undertaking cleaning or maintenance-related activities.
  • Ensure all chemicals, machinery, and equipment are used, stored, and maintained correctly.
  • Report defective equipment, hazards, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Promote a safe working environment for staff, residents, contractors, and visitors.

Resident & Customer Service

  • Deliver excellent customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and the wider management team.
  • Ensure all interactions are professional, courteous, and aligned with Ballymore standards.
  • Respond positively and proactively to resident concerns and operational issues.
  • Support the wider Residential Estates Team in creating a positive resident experience and a strong service culture.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Previous supervisory / manager experience (Advantageous)
  • Proven experience within a Yard/Cleaning role within a residential or commercial setting (Required)
