Balltec designs, manufactures and tests high integrity mechanical connectors for critical applications in the global renewable energy and oil and gas sectors. The engineering team creates technical solutions for the transfer of load in moorings, lifting components and subsea cable connections. As a member company of Venterra Group, Balltec is working at the forefront of the global energy transition, supplying engineering solutions to the offshore wind and the emerging floating wind markets. As a company, Balltec is targeting significant growth to provide even more effective support for our clients in this industry. Balltec are looking to grow their administration team to help support multiple departments within the business. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be dealing with a variety of people at all levels; strong communication and organisation is key to this role.

General Duties:

  • Document Control: Manage internal and external documentation, ensuring all parties work to the latest revisions.
  • Shipping Coordination: Arranging shipping and documentation of Balltec equipment within the UK and import and export globally.
  • Client & Supplier Onboarding: Support onboarding processes, including risk screening, compliance checks, and collection of required documentation.
  • Inbox Management: Monitor multiple email inboxes and respond promptly to correspondence.
  • Reception Duties: Answer incoming calls, direct queries appropriately, and welcome visitors in a professional manner.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with different departments and teams to implement new processes and procedures.
  • Travel & Visa Support: Assist with visa applications and travel arrangements for offshore and business trips.
  • General Administration: Provide ad-hoc administrative and office support as required, including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Office Presentation: Maintain a clean, organised, and professional office environment, including communal areas and meeting rooms.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (grades A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience in an engineering or production environment.
