About us and our clients:

We’re Ballpoint, a creative growth agency based in London. We’re young and ambitious. Since launching 3 years ago, we’ve grown 2.5x YoY and plan to continue that trajectory for the next 5 years.

Ballpoint was born as it became clear creativity would be crucial for modern paid social advertising. The best agencies of the 2010s were either ‘performance’ agencies or ‘creative’ agencies, we’ve been both since day one.

Many of our clients are similar to us, early innovators in their fields. We work with growing start-ups through to household names, each with their own growth challenges for us to break through.

The role in a nutshell:

You will joining our existing creative studio team, working to craft engaging social-first video and static ads for our client’s paid social channels through our peak period.

Important info

  • This is a hybrid role – 4 days per week in our Farringdon office
  • This is a 3-month contract with the potential to extend
  • The right candidate will see AI an an opportunity to 10x your output and automate repetitive tasks, rather than a threat to creativity
  • You must be excited by creating ads that feel at home in TikTok feeds or Instagram Reels – we’re not designing for TV – these are ads, not art

What you’ll do:

  • Translate creative briefs into thumb-stopping ads for paid social—these could be static, video, or animated creatives
  • Take existing best performing creative and craft new social-first variants
  • Design a mix of lo-fi and high-production paid ads to ensure creative diversity in each client account
  • Attend brand shoots and events to capture behind-the-scenes content

Experience you must have:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a video editor or designer—this could be agency, in-house, or freelance
  • Proven experience designing and editing paid social ads for Instagram and TikTok
  • Full proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma
  • Strong understanding of social-first storytelling and best practices for platforms like Meta
  • Exceptional pace, attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across multiple clients

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Experience with AI creative tools
  • Content creation experience—perhaps you run your own social channels in your spare time
