Responsibilities
- Carrying out testing, servicing, and maintenance on a range of small petrol powered tools.
- Managing workshop tasks and ensuring the servicing schedule is consistently up to date.
- Assisting customers in the yard and providing equipment demonstrations when needed.
- Ensuring all small plant equipment is well-maintained, operational, and presentable.
- Diagnosing equipment faults, ordering necessary parts, and completing repairs efficiently.
- Updating order books and job cards accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keeping the Branch Manager and hire desk informed on the status and progress of ongoing repairs.
- Cleaning tools to ensure they meet hire standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working on petrol power tools including diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
- Good understanding of hydraulic and mechanical principles.
- The ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good communication skills.
