We have a new opportunity for aTransport Plannerto join our transport team inBelfast.
In this role you will:
- Optimise transport routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Allocate vehicles, drivers, and equipment to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Create and manage delivery schedules that meet customer and inventory requirements.
- Anticipate risks such as weather or road disruptions and implement contingency plans.
- Maintain full compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams on schedules and changes.
- Monitor KPIs to assess delivery performance, utilisation, and cost efficiency.
- Minimise waste and inefficiency, regularly challenging existing practices to ensure effectiveness.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- Experience working in a fastâ€-paced office environment in a planning or administrative role
- Knowledge of Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
- Background in transport, logistics, or operations (desirable) Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident using IT systems
