Balloo Hire Centres are a leading provider of tool, plant and welfare equipment hire for businesses and DIY needs in Northern Ireland. Balloo Hire Centres are part of The Briggs Equipment Group and therefore can offer a local solution with corporate level support.
In this role you will be:
- Carrying out testing, servicing, and maintenance on a range of small petrol powered tools.
- Managing workshop tasks and ensuring the servicing schedule is consistently up to date.
- Assisting customers in the yard and providing equipment demonstrations when needed.
- Ensuring all small plant equipment is well-maintained, operational, and presentable.
- Diagnosing equipment faults, ordering necessary parts, and completing repairs efficiently.
- Updating order books and job cards accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keeping the Branch Manager and hire desk informed on the status and progress of ongoing repairs.
- Cleaning tools to ensure they meet hire standards.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- Previous experience working on petrol power tools including diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
- Good understanding of hydraulic and mechanical principles.
- The ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good communication skills.
