Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive and passionate Area Sales Manager to join our team.
Role Overview: As a sales representative, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our network of clients across Greater London and the Thames Valley. You will act as the key point of contact between the company and flooring retailers, contractors, and trade customers, driving sales, promoting our product range, and ensuring excellent customer relationships. Your goal will be to grow market share and ensure our products are consistently represented to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify sales opportunities, introduce new products, and drive revenue growth.
- Promote and educate customers on our extensive range of flooring and related products, providing guidance and product recommendations.
- Offer exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any product or service concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Effectively manage your territory, organizing regular visits to customers, tracking sales performance, and ensuring consistent follow-ups to build long-term partnerships.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and to ensure our services remain relevant in the marketplace.
- Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence. Provide regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and new opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience within the UK flooring industry is mandatory.
- Sales representative / Area sales manager experience not essential but would constitute an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of flooring products and the ability to effectively communicate their benefits and features to customers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to sales and business development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve company goals.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within your territory.
