Ballintean Mountain Lodge is recruiting an Evening Cook to prepare and serve home cooked evening meals for small groups staying at the lodge in Glenfeshie. This role suits an experienced cook who enjoys working independently, values good ingredients, and wants flexible, seasonal work in a quiet rural setting.
The role:
- You will prepare and serve evening meals for groups staying at the lodge on 3 to 7 night stays.
- You will cook for groups of up to 12 guests, using locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.
- You will cater for a range of dietary requirements and specialist diets.
- You will manage your own service in the evenings, working both independently and alongside the wider lodge team.
- You will maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen organisation.
Working pattern:
- Evening hours are typically between 4pm and 9pm, depending on guest numbers and meal times.
- Across the year, catering covers around 120 bed nights for groups between 1st February and 30th November.
- A full working schedule can be supplied in advance, with some flexibility required.
What we are looking for:
- You will have sound experience in the hospitality industry.
- You will have previous experience cooking for groups and managing dietary requirements.
- You will hold a valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- You will be self motivated, reliable, and well organised.
- You will have a driving licence and access to your own transport due to the rural location.
