Ballinger Group is an independent provider of foreign exchange risk management and trading services to financial institutions and corporate clients with large and complex FX requirements. Salary £25,000.00
Responsibilities
- Support multiple work streams in Operations, including posting of incoming wires, processing of outgoing wires, reconciliation, trade verification, and handling queries.
- Assist in real time processing of client instructions: approve payment information, create/review beneficiary details, and coordinate with clients or internal departments as required.
- Create, review, and approve all payments (domestic & international).
- Review, cancel, amend, or modify foreign exchange transactions as needed.
- Communicate with clients to clarify beneficiary instructions or FX trades.
- Reconcile bank accounts against the internal treasury management system.
- Liaise with the Risk Team to ensure exposure is covered and margin calls are met.
- Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing training and development through sessions and CISI exams.
Qualifications & Skills
- A minimum 6 months experience in domestic and/or international payment processing is preferred, but willingness to learn in a fast-paced FX payments environment will be considered for the right candidate.
- High attention to detail to ensure payment accuracy and prompt delivery to beneficiaries.
- Ability to analyse payment instructions for viability.
- Ability to work within rules and guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Experience
- Experience in a Payments Function
- Experience in a Reconciliation Function
- Understanding of KYC and Client Onboarding
- Knowledge of FX Payments industry
