Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the COO to define and execute a global People strategy aligned to business growth, organisational design, and future workforce needs.
- Design and implement core HR policies, frameworks, and governance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local employment law and GDPR.
- Establish clear decision rights, accountability models, and operating rhythms for People processes and vendors.
- Own People risk management, compliance, and data integrity standards globally.
- Build and lead end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (hire to retire), ensuring consistency, compliance, and an excellent employee experience.
- Own and optimise Rippling across HR, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, documentation, and reporting.
- Partner with Finance on accurate and timely payroll delivery across markets.
- Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and service metrics, using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Act as an escalation point for complex employee relations, operational, or compliance issues.
- Enable leaders with robust frameworks across performance management, development, feedback, and employee engagement.
- Support the design of compensation and benefits structures appropriate to each market and stage of growth.
- Improve employee productivity and organisational effectiveness through clear processes and manager capability.
- Foster strong employee relations and healthy team dynamics across a diverse, international workforce.
- Drive automation, simplification, and scalability of People processes using Rippling and lightweight tooling.
- Use People data and insights to inform decision-making, workforce planning, and leadership discussions.
- Lead change management for new People processes, policies, and tools as the organisation scales.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in People Operations / HR leadership within fast-growing, international organisations, with exposure to startup work settings and culture.
- Proven ability to build People frameworks from scratch, not just operate existing ones.
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across multiple countries.
- Hands-on experience with modern HR systems (experience with Rippling strongly preferred).
- Commercial, pragmatic, and confident operating with senior leadership.
- Comfortable balancing strategy and execution in a lean, high-ownership environment.
