Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for a part-time role where you can take ownership of your own client portfolio while being part of a supportive team?

Ballards LLP is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team in Droitwich.

You'll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of a varied portfolio of approximately 140 client payrolls, covering weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly pay cycles.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of working across multiple client payrolls and wants to join a friendly, collaborative team where delivering an excellent service to clients really matters.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing client payrolls from start to finish.
  • Processing starters, leavers, contractual changes, overtime, holidays and statutory payments.
  • Completing RTI and year-end submissions.
  • Managing workplace pension administration.
  • Setting up new payrolls and PAYE schemes.
  • Liaising directly with clients, HMRC and pension providers.
  • Resolving payroll queries and ensuring clients receive a consistently high level of service.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the Payroll team and wider Ballards business.

What we're looking for

You’ll need a minimum of two years' payroll experience and strong practical experience using Bright Pay.

You’ll also be comfortable working in a high-volume payroll environment, managing multiple deadlines and communicating directly with clients.

Experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau would be advantageous, as would experience using Sage payroll.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team.

You’ll be able to manage your own workload, but you’ll also be someone who is happy to support colleagues and work together when deadlines require it.

Why Ballards?

At Ballards, we’re more than accountants, we’re trusted business advisers, strategic partners and problem solvers.

You’ll join an established and supportive team, work with a varied client portfolio and have the opportunity to take real ownership of your work.

  • We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, together with a working environment where collaboration, client service and professional development are genuinely valued.

If you’re an experienced payroll professional looking for your next opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
