About the Apprenticeship
Our Corporate Tax Apprenticeship programme is designed for ambitious school leavers who want to build a long-term career in corporate tax and business advisory. You’ll join our Corporate Tax team and gain hands-on experience from the start. Your work will include supporting tax compliance for companies, assisting with tax calculations and returns, researching tax legislation, and helping colleagues respond to client queries. As your knowledge grows, you’ll begin contributing to advisory projects that help businesses plan ahead, manage risk, and make informed financial decisions.
Alongside your practical experience, you’ll study towards the ATT Qualification, followed by either the ACA/CTA qualification. These are highly respected professional qualifications, and your training will be fully funded by Ballards, with structured study support, mentoring, and guidance from experienced professionals throughout your journey.
About You
We’re looking for motivated, analytical school leavers who are interested in business, finance, and problem-solving. You’ll need:
- Strong academic results (A-levels or equivalent, including good grades in Maths or other analytical subjects)
- A curious mindset and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and logical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
No previous tax experience is required – we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
