Ballantine Recruitment is partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business in West Yorkshire that is investing in its operations and infrastructure. They are now looking for a Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of a function that requires structure, leadership, and improvement. This is not a steady-state role. It is an opportunity to step in, take control, and raise standards.
The Opportunity
- Lead the day-to-day warehouse operation, but more importantly, improve it.
- From stock accuracy to team capability, challenge existing ways of working and implement better systems, processes, and accountability.
- This is a hands-on role where credibility comes from action, not title.
The Role
- Lead and develop a warehouse team of 6–8 staff.
- Take full ownership of goods in, goods out, and stock control.
- Drive improvements across processes, efficiency, and operational flow.
- Embed structure, accountability, and consistent standards.
- Coach, develop, and motivate the team to improve performance.
- Implement and optimise warehouse systems and processes, Sage experience beneficial.
- Strengthen coordination between warehouse and production.

About You
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager within a fast-paced environment, ideally food or FMCG.
- Track record of leading warehouse transformation and improving performance.
- Strong people leadership, able to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
- Solid understanding of stock control, systems, and warehouse operations.
- Hands-on leadership style, leading from the front.
You have taken ownership of a warehouse that needed improving and made it better.
Package & Process
- £45,000 – £50,000 + Benefits.
- Monday to Friday.
