Salary: £37,000 per annum, increasing to £39,500 after the first phase of training, and to £42,000 after the second phase. Purpose of the job Support the plant\’s business plans and quality control objectives by performing quality control checks and managing quality control equipment. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Apply quality knowledge and company decisions regarding quality and improvement. Conduct regular quality control checks. Manage and control quality control equipment. Arrange inspection frequency based on process conditions and present quality issues, perform verification. Understand and apply principles of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Follow and improve quality control procedures and instructions. Operate testing equipment and monitor calibration of quality control tools. Identify departments responsible for quality issues and notify relevant personnel and managers. Maintain cleanliness and proper use of quality control equipment. Person Specification Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of product specifications, customer expectations. Ability to apply plant quality assurance techniques and procedures. Proficient in computer use. Strong communication skills, able to understand complex instructions and communicate effectively. Capable of meeting deadlines, paying attention to detail. Skilled in decision-making and problem-solving. Ability to analyze statistical data and make recommendations.
