Position overview

This position is responsible for the financial planning and analysis function for the MEA Region.

The role will be accountable for consolidation and reporting of Ball MEA’s sales, metal, logistics and SG&A costs.

The position will act as the primary link between the regional MEA FP&A teams and the EMEA FP&A function, supporting the delivery of monthly management reporting, quarterly forecasts and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes.

The role is also responsible for driving reporting standardisation, improving financial visibility and providing actionable insights into commercial, operational and overhead performance across MEA business units.

Key responsibilities include

  • Ownership of monthly financial reporting and performance analysis for the MEA entities, covering revenue, metal, logistics costs and SG&A.
  • Preparation of consolidated monthly management reporting, variance analysis and commentary explaining performance versus forecast, prior year and AOP.
  • Responsible for quarterly forecasting and AOP processes for MEA entities
  • Support the FP&A Senior Manager in consolidating and explaining MEA financial performance as part of wider EMEA reporting requirements.
  • Drive standardisation and consistency of reporting, planning and forecasting processes across non-principal MEA entities.
  • Act as finance business partner to MEA commercial and operational teams.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and working capital performance analysis for MEA entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of forecasts, management reports and financial presentations from regional FP&A controllers.
  • Support delivery of month-end close activities through close coordination with Operations Finance, Controllership and GBS teams.
  • Assist in the development of management reporting tools, dashboards and analytical capabilities.
  • Support MEA entity-level SOX controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and reporting requirements.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and business cases.
  • Management of three direct reports and a total team of five.

What are we looking for?

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Proven track record in leading a diverse team of part qualified finance professionals
  • Management accounting experience in a large scale, multi-currency, multi territory entity environment
  • Proven experience in explaining financial figures to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong technical skills including SAP and Excel

Desirable

  • Proven track record in various FP&A and Business Partnering roles at regional level
  • Broad experience across financial disciplines including FP&A and Accounting
  • Experience in manufacturing industry
  • Strong communications and presentation skills
  • Ability to think outside of immediate finance function about broader business needs
